Terms of Service
Effective date: July 26, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Recovery Vault AI (“Recovery Vault AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a web-based service that helps individuals and households organize documents, evidence, tasks, and contact information related to disaster preparedness and recovery. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. What Recovery Vault AI is — and what it is not
Recovery Vault AI is an organizational and educational platform. We help you gather, store, and structure information about your recovery situation. We are not FEMA, the SBA, an insurance company, a law firm, a financial adviser, an emergency-response service, or any government agency. We do not represent you before any agency and we do not submit anything on your behalf. Any AI-assisted suggestions, drafts, checklists, or “next best step” recommendations are informational only and must be reviewed by you before action is taken.
We do not guarantee that using Recovery Vault AI will result in approval, funding, reimbursement, claim acceptance, meeting any deadline, or any specific legal or financial outcome. You remain fully responsible for reviewing every document, submission, deadline, and account activity for accuracy.
2. Founding Member Beta
Recovery Vault AI is currently offered as a Founding Member Beta. Features may change, contain errors, be renamed, be removed, or experience interruptions without prior notice. Certain features labeled “Coming soon,” including Recovery Circle™, AI Recovery Assistant, and AI document drafting, are not included in the current service and may be released, delayed, or discontinued at our sole discretion. We will not charge you based solely on the future availability of unfinished features.
3. Accounts and account security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at recoveryvault.ai@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used to attempt to compromise the service.
4. Subscription, pricing, and renewal
Recovery Vault AI offers a Free tier and a paid Recovery Plus tier at $9.99/month or $79.99/year. During the Founding Member Beta, paid subscriptions are charged immediately upon checkout and renew automatically at the same interval until you cancel. Prices, plans, and features may change on notice; changes do not apply to a current billing period already paid.
You may cancel at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; the current billing period is not prorated except where required by law, and continued access through the period end is at our discretion.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In summary: a full refund of your first payment is available if requested within 7 calendar days of that first purchase; after that window, we do not offer prorated refunds except where required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) use Recovery Vault AI to submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information to any third party; (b) upload malware or content that violates the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others; (c) attempt to probe, scan, or breach the service; (d) reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service; or (e) use the service to make automated decisions affecting others without appropriate human review.
7. Content you provide
You retain ownership of the information, files, and documents you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell your content. You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you provide.
8. Service availability
We aim for reliable service but do not warrant uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party outages (hosting, payment, email), and beta-stage bugs may cause interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recovery Vault AI and its founders, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, for suspected fraud or abuse, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability and dispute resolution) survive.
11. Disputes and contact
Please contact us first at recoveryvault.ai@gmail.com so we can try to resolve any issue directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction where Recovery Vault AI is operated, unless a mandatory law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the service and reflected by a new effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
